1. Nature of This Service
Sandusky Residents Directory is a private reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, indexes, and historical collections relating to Sandusky and Ohio. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with any public office, court, archive, or custodian.
2. Lawful Use Rules
Use the service only for a lawful purpose. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Service
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a linked search result is a consumer report. Do not use any such material to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Outside Portals
Ohio, Erie County, Sandusky, and other linked services maintain their own terms and privacy practices, including sponsored tools. We do not control their content, availability, pricing, or information practices.
5. No Warranty
The service is offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that content is complete, accurate, current, or available, or that a linked portal will operate or provide correct results.
6. Liability Limit
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from use of the service or any linked resource, including reliance on a record reached through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that result from misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to pages and quote short attributed excerpts, but may not republish full pages or systematically copy the content.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after a revision means you accept it.
10. Access Restrictions
We may block or restrict a user who breaches these terms or misuses the service, at our discretion and without notice.
11. Ohio Law
Ohio law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Ohio Public Records Act, ORC 149.43, governs public-record access through the relevant custodian; it does not make Sandusky Residents Directory a custodian or control this private service.
12. Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect.
